Will Shephard

Will Shephard is a professional actor, director, playwright, and performance artist with a broad range of professional experience from New York's Off-Off Broadway theatre to professional repertory theatre and films. He was a founding member of New York's Performance Group, directed by Richard Schechner and he has written a book, "The Dionysus Group" that describes his experiences in the Off-Off Broadway theatre during tumultuous years in American history from 1967-1970. Will Shephard's original one-man show, "The True Story of Jack London," has been performed to critical acclaim in Los Angeles, New York, Anchorage, AK, Orlando, FL and Monterey, CA. Will Shephard is also a former Professor of Theatre with over thirty-seven years' experience teaching acting, directing and playwriting at the university level in both the U.S. and overseas. In 1998-99 he received a Senior Lecturer Fulbright grant to teach and direct in India. He has appeared in films such as Dionysus in 69, Phantom of the Paradise, Deathrace 2000, and King Kong 1976. Will Shephard is also the author of a new book, Inside King Kong: A journal, to be published by Chaplin Books starting September 4, 2014.
