Dr Marc Abraham OBE, BVM&S MRCVS or ‘Marc the Vet’ as he's usually known, grew up a shy, nature nerd. Turning down a backstage pass for ‘Live Aid’ to receive his school chemistry prize, his only friends were caterpillars and frogspawn, but from an early age he just wanted to help animals.
Fast forward a few decades & Marc’s now changed multiple laws, won numerous awards, led campaigns alongside celebs like Ricky Gervais, runs the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Dog Welfare, sourced a rescue dog for the Prime Minister, made movie documentary ‘DOGSPIRACY’, and written five books - his latest being children's picture book ‘Leon's Reef’.
Marc was handed his OBE from King Charles III; his grassroots activism teaching us that anyone can make a difference in the world, they just have to care enough to do something about it. Marc’s still a practicing vet at Mewes Vets in Rottingdean, is a regular guest on BBC Sussex/Surrey, is a passionate Brighton & Hove Albion fan, and enjoys exploring the South Downs.
