Michael James Dowling

Michael James Dowling is an award-winning author, ghostwriter, and editor, with more than two dozen books to his credit. Prior to starting his professional writing business in 1999, he served for 12 years on the staff of Trinity Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Charlottesville, VA, and worked in leadership positions in a variety of business corporations in the Boston area.

Michael holds an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York City and an engineering degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. He is married to Sarah Buell Dowling, an award-winning artist and illustrator. Together they have created "Frog's Rainy-Day Story and Other Fables," a children's picture book of 8 thought-provoking, Christian-based fables for the entire family; "Boosting Your Pet’s Self-Esteem," a humorous satire of the self-esteem craze, and "Flip Along Fun," an interactive, educational children’s flip book that received the internationally respected Mom’s Choice Award.

Michael and Sarah live in Charleston, SC. They have three grown children and one grown grandchild.
