I am a UKCP-registered psychotherapist with 36 years experience in treating anxiety, overthinking, worry, trauma, stress and depression. My latest book is the 9th publication. I offer a clear, direct, simple approach in my work with clients.

I also specialise in helping individuals navigate chronic stress, and the chronic fatigue and pain linked to psychosomatic conditions. My approach has evolved from my foundational work in Brief Therapy and Reverse Therapy - which examines the connection between lifestyle, stress, and physical health - into a modern, "non-fixing" practice focused on awareness and presence.

My writing bridges the gap between sophisticated models of the mind, such as predictive processing, and the immediate, lived reality of the self.
