Karen E. Stine

Dr. Karen E. Stine is currently an Honors Professor of Biology and Environmental Science and former Dean of the School of Sciences at Auburn University at Montgomery. She has also taught at Ashland University (Ohio), Radford University (Virginia), and Clemson University. She has a B.S. in Physics and Biology from the College of William and Mary, a M.S. in Environmental Sciences from the University of Virginia, and a Ph.D. in Toxicology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is interested in a wide variety of research topics focused on the ways in which cells survive physical and chemical stresses. She has also taught a wide variety of courses in toxicology, pharmacology, cell biology, physiology, and environmental science.
