Melissa Jansen

Melissa Mahaffey Jansen is a lifelong writer, inspired by reading classics such as "To Kill A Mockingbird" and "The Color Purple." After journaling, blogging, and writing monthly devotionals (www.thelife.com), Melissa branched out to publish two nonfiction books, Her first, "40 Voices of Grief and Gratitude", chronicles the heartbreaking stories of people who've suffered losses of loved ones, marriages, health, innocence, and more. Her second, "Miracle Moments in Ministries," highlights miraculous incidents in southwest Florida.

Melissa is currently working on her third nonfiction, "Fatigued: Life as a Brat." This will book will tell the stories of former military brats from all branches, and focus on commonalities such as moving often, bullying, persistence, trust issues, war time family life and more. Her own experience as a military "brat" for 32 years led her to share the challenges and the opportunities of being an officer's child, and how that has shaped her today.

Melissa is a board-certified life coach, a wife, mother, and grandmother and lives in northwest Georgia. Her hobbies include writing, theatre, traveling, and leading women's groups. More info about her can be found on her website, www.melissamjansen.com
