I published a critique of free market economics a decade or so before Thatcher. The New Right: A Critique. Fabian 1968. Doesn't seem to have had much effect! (so far).

My book Altruism and Economy (Martin Robinson 1978) unusually considered altruism as a serious motive in economic behaviour.

Some of my historical essays on economics are reprinted in Generations of Economists, Routledge 2011

Though an academic economist I later took an interest in other disciplines and I co-edited A Companion to Alfred Russel Wallace, Chicago University Press 2019.

I have also written a couple of plays apart from Henry, The Last Will and Testament of Roger Edwards, Gentleman and Inventing the Truth: Shelley versus Trelawny, both available fro collard.troggy @gmail.com
