David Baine

David Baine, Professor Emeritus, Educational Psychology, University of Alberta, Canada, worked and consulted in educational programs in many parts of the world including: the University of Transkei in South Africa; Utkal University in Bhubaneswar, India; Altai University in Barnaul, Russia; in Burma (Myanmar) with UNESCO, and in Manila, Philippines. In addition, he consulted in Surinam, Jamaica, Pakistan, India, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Holland, and Nepal. He has consulted to the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO); the World Health Organization (WHO); the Organization of American States (OAS); the Commonwealth Association for Mental Handicap and Developmental Disabilities; the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Aga Khan Foundation in Karachi, Pakistan, and the University Research Grants Commission in Hong Kong.

David taught graduate and undergraduate courses in educational psychology, assessment, curriculum, instruction, behaviour management, and research methods, as well as, education and psychology in developing countries. He has published fifteen textbooks on intellectual disabilities, instructional design, assessment, curriculum development, communication, program evaluation, memory and instruction, and education in developing countries. In addition, he has published numerous papers in refereed journals.
