On the academic front, David Birnbaum is the author of important works in philosophy-metaphysics and history. These volumes are Course Texts at universities around-the-world. Salient works include Summa Metaphysica; The Crucifixion; and Jews, Church & Civilization.

As well, David Birnbaum is the editor-in-chief of Mesorah Matrix, a landmark ten-volume series (in-progress) on Jewish spirituality. Over 180 thought leaders are engaged in the expected decade-long global project.
