Ellen Rony

Ellen Rony's broad professional portfolio includes intervals as a former publicist, journalist, technical writer, marketing manager, domain name author and expert witness for landmark litigation, website developer and emergency management coordinator for public schools in Marin County. She holds a Master of Arts degree from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts from Pomona College.

Ellen has authored two non-fiction books. DayZee Discovers her Purple Superpower is her debut children’s picture book. DayZee is a newborn zebra who is unlike any other in her herd. She faces a rough introduction to the animal kingdom and braves social isolation, roaring lions, a cranky crocodile and the lonely longing for acceptance into her community.

Ellen is a Legacy Circle member and Partner in Conservation of the World Wildlife Fund and a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. Every picture book sold supports the mission and vital efforts of the World Wildlife Fund to protect and restore endangered species.
