Caroline is a third generation actor as well as a nationally published writer of essays, non-fiction, & fiction. After fifteen years as a freelance actor, she developed the educational Shakespeare company Advice To The Players to provide professional, accessible, community-based theatre designed to bring Shakespeare's works to life in northern New Hampshire. ATTP offered area teens valuable experience in technical, life, scholastic, and co-operative skills while working directly with the company's core theatre professionals in a unique mentoring capacity that remains the cornerstone of the company's work nearly twenty years on. After leaving the company in good hands in 2009, Caroline returned to freelance acting onstage & in film.
As an essayist and theatre writer, Caroline's work has appeared in a wide variety of publications that include 'American Theatre', 'Teaching Theatre', 'TheaterMania.com', 'The Boston Globe', 'Horse, of Course', 'The Equine Journal', 'Commonweal', 'The Thoroughbred Times', 'Creative Nonfiction', etc. In 1995 she published her first non-fiction book, 'The Pony Breeder's Companion', with Howell Book House. This was followed by the novels, 'Ride On The Curl'd Clouds' and most recently, 'Fortune's Fool'. Her full length play 'Contra Dance' debuted at The Barnstormers Theatre in Tamworth, NH in the autumn of 2015. She is currently at work on a web series titled 'SM' and a new historical novel, 'Star, Stone, Butterfly'.
Caroline lives on a farm with her family and an assortment of homebred Connemaras and other animals both domestic and wild.
