Robert A. Gable is a former telecommunications professional living in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. He is the author of three horror and suspense novels, various technical books, and numerous magazine articles. Also a former Adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, a former professional guitarist, an avid sports enthusiast and gourmet cook, he spends his days reading fiction (classics to fantasy to science fiction to horror to you-name it), history (ancient to present day), politics, science, music, film, philosophy, biographies and cookbooks. A dyed-in-the wool film buff, he is intensely interested in cinema, from the earliest silent movies to modern cinema. A huge fan of classic jazz, classic rock, classical music, blues, and prog rock, he still plays guitar daily and composes original music. When people ask him about the violence and tension in his novels, he simply smiles and says, "What can I say, I was raised by a homicide detective".
