OWEN HILL is the co-annotator and editor of the new annotated edition of Raymond Chandler's classic novel The Big Sleep. The Washington Post called the Annotated Big Sleep "fascinating and essential" and Time Magazine referred to TABS as "a wonderful recent volume".
He is also the author of two mystery novels, a book of short fiction, and several books of poetry including A Walk Among the Bogus (Lavender Ink, 2014). He has reviewed crime novels for the Los Angeles Times and the East Bay Express. In 2005 he was awarded the Howard Moss residency at Yaddo. He is co-editor (with Jerry Thompson) Berkeley Noir for Akashic Press. A memoir, Hands on a Mirror, is available from Bootstrap Press.
