Bernard Schopen

Bernard Schopen was born and raised in Deadwood, South Dakota. After an enlistment in the U. S. Navy, he attended Black Hills State College, the University of Washington, and the University of Nevada-Reno. For most of his working life, he taught English and Humanities. He also wrote fiction, both detective and literary, for which he was honored with election to the Nevada Writer's Hall of Fame. He has long lived with his family in Reno
