Glover Wright has a background in entertainment, being lead-guitarist in the 1960’s for American Rock Legends Jerry Lee Lewis and Gene Vincent on their British tours. He recorded as Buddy Britten & the Regents, was with the Beatles in their Hamburg Star Club days and through his friendship with John Lennon was involved with Apple Music as composer and producer. Subsequently he worked for the US military entertaining American troops worldwide.
Breaking from music in the 1970’s with writing in mind, he spent time with contract soldiers and seconded SAS units engaged against rebels in Oman, an experience resulting in his debut novel The Torch which was accepted immediately by G.P. Putnam’s Sons of New York and Hutchinson UK, then published worldwide in a number of languages.
The film rights of his highly acclaimed novel The Hound of Heaven have recently been sold and he is working in conjunction with award-winning German writer-director Maurice Philip Remy on the screenplay.
Glover Wright has published eight novels to date and now lives in Jersey, British Channel Islands. He retains an active interest in entertainment through fund-raising charity events for British servicemen wounded in action. His new thriller HARD ACT is due for publication imminently.

Some Glover Wright Reviews
SHADOW OF BABEL:
“Good terse writing and a splendid story.
DAILY TELEGRAPH
HEADHUNTER
“When an American industrialist is murdered in Belfast, seemingly by the IRA, and his wife offers a million dollars for the heads of his killers, three heads arrive at a hotel wrapped like fruit in a box. But things are never what they seem in Northern Ireland. Wright’s novel has a chilling note of authenticity. At the centre is the Headhunter, a man beyond redemption whose aura of evil leaps out of the pages of this compelling thriller.

THE HOUND OF HEAVEN
“One of the most unusual thrillers that will come your way . . . it catches the reader from the beginning and it never lets up. So clear and sensitive is Glover Wright’s writing, so scary are the final pages that THE HOUND OF HEAVEN goes right to the top of its genre!”
NEW YORK TIMES BOOK REVIEW
“A thriller with a plot so unique that it is virtually in a class by itself. Fast-moving, superbly written and quite unputdownable. With this book, Glover Wright joins the masters of the thriller genre.”
JACK HIGGINS
BLOOD ENEMIES
Jack Higgins says That Glover Wright’s novel The Hound of Heaven is “unputdownable!” The same is true of BLOOD ENEMIES.

ST LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
THE TORCH
“Glover Wright’s story moves with power through the political machinations of two countries — a power seldom encountered in a suspense novel. THE TORCH is very, very good.”

EIGHTH DAY
I cannot remember when I last read a thriller writer so completely in charge of his material. Wright tackles his subject with great ease and flair. His story of the continued research by the Allies into genetic mutation begun by the Nazis in the last war is an unpleasant thought, but so crisp is Glover Wright’s exposition of it that it becomes credible. Within its own clearly defined limits, EIGHTH DAY is almost flawless.
