P. D. Witte

Phil Witte is an author and cartoonist. His latest book, with co-author Rex Hesner, is "Funny Stuff: How Great Cartoonists Make Great Cartoons," with a foreword by Bob Mankoff, former cartoon editor of The New Yorker. Phil's humor books on aging,"What You Don't Know About Turning 50" and the sequel on turning 60, have sold over 175,000 copies to date. His short humor pieces appear in Slackjaw, American Bystander, Funny Times, Points in Case, and The Haven.

Phil's cartoons have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, The Times (of London), San Francisco Chronicle, Private Eye, and many other online and print magazines, as well as books, calendars, and greeting cards. Phil is a member of the National Cartoonist Society. Amazon no longer allows bios to include websites, but if you search "Phil Witte" you'll find it.
