Thomas E. Jeffrey

Thomas E. Jeffrey (b. 1947) is senior editor emeritus of the Thomas Edison Papers at Rutgers University. He also taught a course in early American history at Rutgers. A graduate of The Catholic University of America (Ph.D., 1976), he taught at Vanderbilt University and several community colleges, and served as microfiche editor of The Papers of Benjamin Henry Latrobe at the Maryland Historical Society, before joining the faculty at Rutgers. He has published widely on antebellum North Carolina politics as well as on Thomas Edison. An avid movie fan, he currently co-manages an Internet movie channel, The Vortexx (horrorhost.net).
