Tim Murphy

Tim Murphy caught the cycling bug as a college student in the 1970s and has been all about the bike ever since. Tim has worked as a journalist, a teacher, a high school guidance counselor, a non-profit executive director and a costumed character at Carowinds theme park. Tim studied journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a master's degree in school counseling from Appalachian State University. Tim lives in North Wilkesboro in the Blue Ridge foothills of North Carolina. He keeps "Road Cycling the Blue Ridge High Country" up to date at the book's companion website, http://blueridgebiking.tripod.com
