Helen Park was born in Busan in Korea. Helen began studying the piano at the age of six.

She earned her BA and M.Mus degrees in Piano performance from Yon Sei University in Seoul.

She worked as a pianist for the Dance department at Cheong Joo University and taught Piano

Accompaniment and Music theory at Holiness Church College.

She has published 17 books including, How to Accompany for Hymn and Gospel , Christmas

Carol Variation Book, and Music theory for piano students and was as lecturer at the Piano

teachers’ training seminar in Kyungki, Choong Buk and Choong Nam area.

In 1996, Helen moved to New Zealand and worked as the accompanist at the Korean

Broadcasting choir and at the Auckland Philharmonic orchestra (A.P.O).

She was also a columnist for Korea town, New Zealand Times and The New Korea Herald.

Nowdays she teaches piano privately and composes musics. She keeps a regular music

techniques, music history, music pedagogy, method of teaching, music theory, and music
