Michael Wash

Michael (Mike) Wash is a Yorkshire-based author of middle-grade fantasy books who believes the best adventures begin close to home, often in ordinary places that hide extraordinary secrets. He has also published self help and business development books, combining his expertise in psychology with business acumen. Mike has spent much of his life helping people and communities: he worked in nursing and counselling before moving into organisational leadership and consultancy, and in retirement has served as a school governor, a hospital director, and chair of both a mental-health charity and a male voice choir.

Mike’s storytelling is powered by family life and the bright imagination of his nine grandchildren, who inspired his Fearless Trio series. Books filled with mystery, humour and heart, where brave choices matter and compassion is a kind of superpower. The series begins with The Fearless Trio: The Dragons of Yesterday (published 2026), with further adventures to follow. The next book The Fearless Trio and The Goblin Prince is due in June and the final book of the series The Fearless Trio and The Headmaster of Shadows will be out by August.
