Steve Heller

Two-time O. Henry Award-winner Steve Heller is the author of three novels, one collection of short stories, and a collection of nonfiction. His best-known work is his novel, THE AUTOMOTIVE HISTORY OF LUCKY KELLERMAN, a selection of both Book-of-the-Month Club and QPB. He has published 60+ short stories and essays, many of which have been reprinted in anthologies.

Steve has also had a distinguished career as an editor, teacher, and writing mentor. He has chaired two graduate creative writing programs and served as President of AWP. His latest novel is RETURN OF THE GHOST KILLER, forthcoming from Regal House Publishing in 2027. In this contemporary community saga, descendants of pineapple workers, fishermen, cowboys, maids, and clerks battle ghosts of memory, imagination, dream, and regret on the Hawaiian island of Lana’i.
