Steve Hendricks

Steve Hendricks is the author of several books, including Across Glacier: On Foot Through America’s Most Glorious National Park (forthcoming April 2027). One of his books, The Unquiet Grave: The FBI and the Struggle for the Soul of Indian Country, was named a best book of the year by several publications. He has written about fasting for Harper’s, aphrodisiac hunting for Outside, a soccer miracle for Slate, the devastation of the climate for Salon, and Native resistance to white profiteering for Orion. He lives with his wife in Boulder, Colorado, and gets into the mountains as often as he can.
