Matt Belcher

Matt Belcher is a builder, developer and nationally-recognized green building consultant. He has been actively involved in the St. Louis area construction industry for 30 years, 6 of which he spent as a top building codes official in the St. Louis region. In 1993, he founded Belcher Homes, an award-winning company that specializes in constructing sustainable green homes and light commercial construction using low-impact, ecological development. Belcher Homes is committed to the “whole building” design approach, a philosophy that every decision in the context of its immediate or eventual impact will have on the ecosystem. Belcher Homes is a partner with the University of Missouri’s Institute of Environmental and Energy Technologies (ENTECH), which promotes training and business stimulation and research in green building, development and energy efficient practices.
