Stephan Ortmann

Stephan Ortmann was born in Marburg, Germany, in 1976. He studied at the University of Tübingen, College of Charleston, and University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He received his PhD degree in 2008 from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He has worked at FernUniversitaet in Hangen, City University of Hong Kong, and Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has worked on various issues related to political change in Hong Kong, Singapore, China and Vietnam. His publications have appeared in many reputable journals including Asian Survey, Asian Studies Review, Administration and Society, China Quarterly, Journal of Democracy, Government and Opposition, and Pacific Review.
