Billy Edd Wheeler's a legend in country music, known for writing such songs as "Jackson" (recorded by Johnny Cash), "Coward of the County" (Kenny Rogers) and 150 other chart-toppers, sung by such stars as Neil Young, Glen Campbell and even Elvis Presley, and is in several country music halls of fame. Billy Edd's also written several plays (including "Hatfields and McCoys," now in its 47th year) and authored (or co-authored) a number of books on Appalachian humor as well as his best-selling memoir, "Hotter Than a Pepper Sprout."
