My goal as an author is to bring you stories that not only entertain but also inspire you to engage more fully and meaningfully with the world.
Growing up on the Central Coast of California, I felt deeply pained from a young age by the plight of those lacking basic needs such as food, shelter, and a healthy and safe environment. This concern led me to a degree in International Agricultural Development from UC Davis, an internship at the Institute for Food and Development Policy in Oakland, CA, a residential apprenticeship at the Possibility Alliance in La Plata, MO, several years of professional training in nonviolent conflict resolution and mediation, and volunteer work with a variety of nonprofit organizations.
In the face of daily headlines that can be overwhelming and discouraging, I've discovered that what bolsters my own spirit is the opportunity to actively engage, participating in grassroots projects that confront our society's biggest challenges creatively from the ground up. By putting compassion into action, I find a greater sense of joy and purpose in my life.
As a writer, I love to craft engaging, page-turner stories that help readers to experience a similar sense of connection, hope, and empowerment.
