Ryan Donlan

Dr. Ryan Donlan served for twenty years in K-12 education, much of that time as a principal and superintendent, and is now a Professor at Indiana State University in the Department of Educational Leadership of the Bayh College of Education.

Ryan is an avid leadership and communications trainer, organizational developer, and Master Trainer in the Process Communication Model® (PCM). An author and scholar-practitioner, Ryan spends his time teaching, writing, and offering service through keynote addresses, conference presentations, and peak performance training for schools, corporations, and non-profit organizations.

Once a frequent skydiver, Ryan today enjoys more conservative pursuits. He has also written/co-written Gamesmanship for Teachers: Uncommon Sense is Half the Work, The Secret Solution: How One Principal Discovered the Path to Success, Minds Unleashed: How Principals Can Lead the Right-Brained Way, The Hero Maker: How Superintendents Can Get Their School Boards to Do the Right Thing, The School Board Member's Guidebook: Becoming a Difference Maker for Your District, and All Other Duties As Assigned: The Assistant Principal's Critical Role in Supporting Schools Inside and Out. Additionally, he has published numerous articles, is active in research, and has posted over 100 on-line "short-reads" for educators and educational leaders.
