Until recently, I was Jackye and Curtis Finch, Jr., Curator of Drawings at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts (previously the Arkansas Arts Center), where I had been since 2012. I earned my AA in studio art at Montgomery College, Rockville, Maryland; BA in art history at the George Washington University; MA in art history at Boston University; and PhD in art history at the University of Maryland. My professional experience includes curatorial work and research at the National Portrait Gallery; the Smithsonian American Art Museum; and the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown, Maryland. I have taught art history at the University of Maryland, George Mason University, and Towson University.
