Premesh Lalu

Premesh Lalu is Professor of History and Director of the Centre for Humanities Research at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He is author of The Deaths of Hintsa: Postapartheid South Africa and the Shape of Recurring Pasts (Cape Town: HSRC Press, 2009). Lalu's previous publications have appeared in History and Theory, History in Africa, Kronos: Southern African Histories, Current Writing, and the South African Historical Journal.
