I have enjoyed creative writing for as long as I can remember, even
back in grade school! Making up stories about animals or my dolls was
my thing even before I was double-digits old. Writing a children's
book seemed a natural thing to do, especially as my young daughter
grew to love books more and more. Reading countless middle-grade
stories with Allison, combined with watching antics of family guinea
pigs, Maggie and Peanut, became the inspiration for, "A Tale of Two
Guinea Pigs", starring the squeaky, spunky stars, Teddy and Pip.
Teddy and Pip stories are wholesome, funny, chapter books for
approximately third to fifth grade readers. My books are enjoyed by
younger readers too (as read-alouds) and older, too! There is no age
limit! They even make the writer laugh! Consider Teddy and Pip for
your young readers . . . and everyone else you know. I like to think
there is a little something for everyone in this series.
There are now fifteen Teddy and Pip stories and more to come!

My teen novel series, titled Silver Linings (for approximately 12 to
18 year old girls) is now available! Book One: Doors and Windows and
Book Two: Love is Kind. This series is a wholesome read for young
girls about relationships, love, disappointments and, of course,
silver linings . . . with a backdrop of mystery. Follow Lucy, her BFF
Nadine, her dad and many other characters through six months of ups
and downs. The third book in the trilogy is nearly finished, too.
I have lately delved into the world of grown-up stories, too. I wrote
a Christmas-themed novel called Witness - a story about a tight-knit
Minnesota neighborhood and the complicated lives of those who live
there. It is a non-cheesy story about ups and downs and then
redemption. It'll make you laugh and cry, guaranteed. The Reunion was
my first attempt at writing something as an adult. I wrote it way back
in 1991 and then shelved it for many years. Now it is off the shelf
and there is a sequel, too. If you fancy a trip back to the 1990s and
can handle the cringy fashion and decor in addition to a mystery,
check it out! Ebooks are coming very soon for The Reunion, The Return
and Witness.
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy!
