April Robins is the CEO of Robin Falls, LLC. She is the list owner of the wonderful Red River Writers Group on FaceBook and its associated Fan pages. Red River Writers promotes writers and artists. April is the editor-in-chief of Robin Falls Magazine which can be viewed at www.robinfalls.com. She also produces 19 unique radios shows at www.blogtalkradio.com/robinfalls for all genre. Guest include writers, authors, artists, poets, songwriters, photographers, promoters, editors, publishers, screen writers, etc. There is something for everyone, especially the writer.
April is an honors graduate from Texas A&M University with a BS degree in Computer Science with a minor in English. She worked for years as a software developer under contract with such giants as IBM, Deloitte & Touche. Andersen Consulting, EDS, American Airlines, and Texas Instruments. Most of her work was on Government Contracts including the National Child Support System. She even worked for one year as a software consultant for the FBI tracking body parts. She would fly home on the weekend and work during the week out of state. Her assignments took her to Oregon, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Florida, Missouri, Tennessee, Arizona, Kansas, and Austin,Texas. She often sang the words "I've had the time of my life."
After years of working as a Case Tool programmer, April retired from that career and pursued another love, writing children's books. Along the way, she became a a promoter of writers and artists through her Group Red River Writers - Works of Writers & Artists Worldwide on FaceBook. One thing led to another, and she ended up with three FB Fan pages, 15 Blog Talk Radio shows under her name, and Robin Falls Magazine. She truly enjoys her new life and invites her friends to be involved with it.
April's children's books are family oriented, targeted for ages 2 to 10. They tell a story that is easy for a beginning reader to read, yet leaves them with a sense of accomplishment. Many include grandparents, as well as parents. None give a lecture but all have happy endings. Her books are loaded with colorful illustrations and are just simply fun to read. They are a transition from picture books to chapter books.
April is married. She and her husband, of 40 plus years, have two grown children and four grandchildren. All of which live close by.
