I used to focus on my business career in my author profile but I guess this is not that interesting to most readers. I was born in Austria and my mother tongue is German. I write in English because thats how I experienced much of what I write about being a world traveller and citizen. German is a hard language to write in and much less expressive.
Educated to design electrical power plants I joined IBM as a computer technician, later as a software systems consultant and finally sales. I worked for IBM internationally in the UK and later for three years in Saudi Arabia, which clearly influenced my view of the world, politics and religion. After 15 years at IBM I founded a software business that is today medium size and operates worldwide. I also own a number of other businesses.
Some of what my characters go through are actually my own experiences but I won't divulge which parts. Some mystery has to remain!
I am not a fulltime author but writing is for me a way to express my creativity and put my adventurous spirit to rest. I have written and self-published two books, 'Deity (2003)' and 'Journey To Eden (2005).'
'Deity' is the first volume in the 'Spirit in the Quantum Field Trilogy.' 'Tartarus' is the third book of the trilogy and still incomplete. I have not had much time to write in the last few years and I guess it is because I am much more content these days. I have a couple of other books up my sleeve like the one I titled: 'The Hills of Venus' which is kind of an autobiography of my relationships over the years. Not in fact but in emotional content. I am two third complete with that one.
My writing style is not for the masses. I am sometimes too detailed and too blunt. I try to show life like it is, like a mirror who does not care if you like what he shows you. I hope I have learned to keep the reader interested nevertheless, so that my story will do more than just fill someone's time. My style is politically incorrect and sexually explicit, mostly as a protest against those in poltics and religious groups who try to curb our freedom of expression by means of peer pressure and fear.
I do not carry grudges against anyone but one can read my disappointment and disagreement with the political establishment and religious groups and dogmas in my writing. Political correctness is for the timid and the subjugated, but not for me. Everyone must be allowed to hold a different opinion just as everyone must respect everyone else's.
I do appreciate the time and consideration that my readers give me but as as an author one cannot worry whether someone agrees or disagrees with something, likes or hates my books. I fortunately do not have to write to make a living but it is simply something that kind of spills out. When I write, the characters come alive in my head and start to talk to each other and I have little control over what they end up doing. It is actually kind of amazing. It is a lot of hard work later to turn it in to something someone will enjoy reading. I certainly hope you will.
