He lives in the Palm Springs, CA area with his wife Tracey and their 6 children. He is also very good about answering email (meekseric@hotmail.com) and becoming friends with everyone from fans to old school mates on Facebook. Recently he has started using Twitter under the name ericgmeeks.

When not writing or enjoying his kids, one of his favorite past times is visiting thrift stores, used book stores, and record shops which he goes to all too often always searching for the elusive masterful item to add to his extensive collection of rare Science Fiction hardbacks, and Vinyl Rock & Roll and Ska records which he plays on an old Technics record player.
