Sharon McAnear

Sharon McAnear has created fourteen delightful books, mostly fiction. She is the author of six novels in the Jemma Series and three books in the Stars in My Crown Series. Find Me a Man Club in Portland partners her penchant for humor, strong characters, and snappy dialogue with Rachel Wells' irresistible story of Internet dating. Her Waiting for You series begins with Raining Love in Dove Creek (Colorado), but crosses the Atlantic for Raining Love in the Scottish Highlands. Raining Love in Hermosa Valley is also set in Colorado.

Heart of Grace is based on the true story of a 1970s civil rights case tried in the conservative Panhandle of Texas. It introduces the young lawyer who represented a wrongfully fired teacher. The book reveals how the lawyer’s childhood was shaped by family, friends, and teachers, but also by the good earth that sustained Panhandle farms and ranches through the years. His legal ethics were honed by a keen sense of fairness and yes, a heart of grace.

Sharon McAnear lives in Colorado with her husband. Her periodically dramatic family is scattered across the country but returns home now and then. She is currently plotting her next novel and perhaps sneaking added inspiration from her vast collection of Far Side cartoons.
