Patrick J. Santry

Pat Santry is a technology leader, systems thinker, and writer who spent decades building platforms and solving complex problems in the world of software and digital infrastructure.

Later in life he discovered something that explained much of his journey: he is autistic.

Growing up in a time when autism was rarely discussed, Pat spent much of his life trying to understand why his mind worked differently. That experience shaped not only his career in technology, but also how he thinks about identity, intelligence, and the nature of systems.

His memoir Thin Ice explores that journey — from a difficult childhood and service in the Army to a career in technology and the late discovery that reframed his entire life.
