Matt Johnstone

Matt Johnstone follows his family's footsteps by writing and publishing literature for and about children. He grew up in the charming mountain town of Sierra Madre, CA, where he wrote his first story at the age of thirteen. Before moving with his wife and children to the East Coast in 1977, he lived in Huntington Beach, Carlsbad, San Diego, Sacramento, and San Dimas California. He resided in Maryland and North Carolina before moving to Indiana in late 2007. Matt traveled much of the world while in the military, and continued writing in college and during his long career in the telecommunications industry. Matt also spent over thirty years involved in community service, coaching youth soccer and other sports. He is a current member of the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and the Noblesville Indiana Writers Group. Matt retired in 2002, excited to begin his long awaited second career as a published author of youth and adult fiction. He currently lives near family in Noblesville, and is working at home on his third novel.
