James Curcio

James Curcio is a writer, and multi-hyphenate artist living in Philadelphia. Previous novels include Join My Cult! and Party at the World’s End. His study of myth, art and culture have led him to write numerous non-fiction books as well, such as The Immanence of Myth, Apocalyptic Imaginary, and Narrative Machines. His most recent anthology, MASKS: Bowie & Artists of Artifice, was released by Intellect Books January 2020, including the work of many notable scholars and artists in their respective fields (Slavoj Žižek, John Gray, Gary Lachman, Davide De Angelis, among others).

The full-color illustrated novel Tales From When I Had A Face was produced first as a limited edition hardcover in 2022, following a highly successful Kickstarter that was funded in under 24 hours. It is a part of an ongoing transmedia "modern mythology" ranging from comics to fiction podcasts.
