Fred Schindler

Fred Schindler is the author of From Broken Childhood to World Adventures, a deeply personal memoir tracing a life shaped by adversity, reinvention, and unexpected opportunity.

Raised in Oklahoma amid loss and instability, Schindler’s early years offered little certainty about the future. Direction came through military service and later through a long career with IBM, where he rose from entry-level work to senior global roles that took him across Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Along the way, he navigated political unrest, corporate transformation, cultural divides, and moments of genuine danger—experiences that shaped both his professional philosophy and his understanding of human resilience.

After retiring from international business, Schindler turned to writing to reflect honestly on success, failure, love, regret, and gratitude. His work is written not for acclaim, but so future generations may better understand the cost—and the possibility—of a life fully lived.

Fred graduated from Syracuse School of Management Magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree.

He is coauthor of the book Managing Global Accounts: Nine Critical Success Factors For a World Class Program.
