Chelsea DeVries

Chelsea DeVries is an award-winning author, publicist, and lifelong admirer of skateboarding culture. Inspired by the creativity, freedom, and artistry of the sport, she has spent years supporting the skateboarding community and regularly attends the annual Tampa Pro contest at the Skatepark of Tampa.

A professional writer since the age of fourteen, Chelsea holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minor in International Hospitality and Tourism from Saint Leo University. Her poetry collection, Sticks & Stones: Full Story Edition, has earned multiple honors, including a 2023 American Writing Award in Poetry and a 2026 International Impact Award.

Kickflip My Heart is her debut new adult novel. Through her writing, Chelsea explores themes of humanity, mental health, resilience, and neurodivergence, drawing from her own experiences as an AuDHD author.

When she is not writing, Chelsea manages her publicity and publishing company, The Smart Cookie Philes, enjoys coffee, spends time with her dogs Zoey and Cooper, and cheers on the authors, musicians, and skateboarders who inspire her. She lives in Hudson, Florida, and believes in always finding a way to dance on broken glass.
