Patricia O'Sullivan

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Patricia O'Sullivan resides in Oxford, Mississippi where she teaches pharmacy ethics and a survey of world religions at the University of Mississippi. Her first novel, Hope of Israel, the story of the readmission of the Jews to England in 1656, was a top-100 finalist in Amazon.com's Breakaway Novel Award in 2008. Her second novel, Legend of the Dead, was a quarterfinalist in the same competition in 2011. A Notable Occupation was released in 2013 and continues the story of Sephardic Jews in the New World. It is set during the British occupation of Newport, RI and St. Eustatius in the Caribbean. In 2014, Patricia released her first new adult novel, Awesome Justice, a story of faith, love, and coming out in Mississippi. Patricia is currently working on final edits to the sequel to Awesome Justice as well as her fourth historical novel, Merrimack, the story of a medical student living in a 19th-century mill town troubled by immigration, poverty, and anti-Irish sentiment.
