Greg Crane

Crane graduated from St. Mary's University in San Antonio and later served eight years on the Board of Trustees, five as chairman. He is honored as a Distinguished Alumnus and is a member of the university's Athletic Hall of Fame.

A graduate of the U.S. Navy Officer Candidate School in Newport, R.I., Crane earned his navy wings at NAS Corpus Christi and served as a Jet Flight Instructor and as a fighter pilot flying FJ-4 jet aircraft in VF-703.

His civilian career centered in banking where he served a national bank as president and CEO for fifteen years.

He became interested in writing novels as he approached retirement and published his first book, "Tainted Angels", shortly thereafter. His second book,"Vengeful Angels", was published in 2008, and his third, "Yellow Feather," is scheduled to be published in late 2009. These three novels feature the Paterlini crime family, not in stereotypical prose, but in a refreshing free-flowing format.

Crane is married, has six children and seventeen grandchildren.
