David Rozgonyi

David Rozgonyi was born in Tripoli, Libya, in 1976 to Hungarian political immigrants. He grew up in New Mexico, Texas, and Sydney (Australia), before returning to Fort Collins Colorado. His first book, Goat Trees: Tales from the Other Side of the World, is a collection of short fiction written in and about some of his favorite places in the world, including Cambodia, China, Japan, the South Pacific, the Great Northwest of the US, and northern Africa. He currently resides in the south of Hungary, and has just completed a new novel entitled Two Dolphin (coming soon).

Aside from writing, David backpacks and travels the world on foot, motorcycle and in his beloved vintage 1977 Volkswagen Bus, with his wife, the writer Erzsebet Gilbert. He is an avid photographer, diver, downhill skier, and cook. During the ongoing course of his endless wandering through 50+ countries thus far, he has learned only one thing with absolute certainty: We are all the same. Not even as far removed as brothers and sisters; when you look into another's eyes no matter where in this world you may find them, he or she is you. And it is wondrous.
