Peter has over 29 years of enterprise computing experience. He started supporting a COBOL application and soon was involved in develop of system software and middleware in Algol and Pascal. In the early 90's he switch to doing C/C++ development on Solaris and later ported that code to Windows NT. He has been working with Java since 1998 and since 2001 has been heavily involved in Java performance tuning. In the mean time he has found the opportunity to do development in C#, ASP.NET and PHP. He frequents both the JBoss and JavaRanch Forums. He is a frequent speaker at the annual Computer Measurement Group Conference (www.cmg.org) and won the Mullen Award for his 2006 presentation titled Java Performance Analysis 301. Besides his CMG appearances he also speaks at other industry conferences such as JBossWorld and LinuxWorld. Peter is co-author of the book JBoss in Action, published by Manning.
