Michael Allan Mallory

Michael Allan Mallory authored THE LOST DRAGON MURDER, which introduces Detective Henry Lau and his partner, and niece, Detective Janet Lau. The novel is a traditional detective novel. It won the Best Independent Book Award in the detective mystery category and was also a Finalist for the Midwest Book Award and Silver Falchion Award Finalist at the Killer Nashville International Writers' Conference.

Michael is the co-author of KILLER INSTINCT, which continued the adventures of mystery's first zoologist sleuth. Zookeeper Lavender "Snake" Jones travels to Superior National Forest to investigate a wild wolf killing that escalates into the murder of a key suspect and puts her in jeopardy as the killer's gun sights train on her.

DEATH ROLL, his debut novel with Marilyn Victor, was released in hardcover in 2007 by Five Star and introduced zookeeper Snake Jones, who investigates the murder of the director of the Minnesota Valley Zoo. DEATH ROLL is available on Kindle and in trade paperback.

Michael's short fiction has appeared in numerous mystery publications. He is an active member of Mystery Writers of America and is a past president of the Twin Cities chapter of Sisters in Crime. MINNESOTA NOT SO NICE: EIGHTEEN TALES OF BAD BEHAVIOR, a mystery anthology he helped edit was a 2021 SILVER FALCHION AWARD FINALIST for BEST SHORT STORY COLLECTION / ANTHOLOGY, which is presented by the Killer Nashville International Writers' Conference .
