I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love on a daily basis, which is writing books. I even like the editing part, which is probably a little weird. I know that I won't be able to please all of the people all of the time, but I do hope to inspire or give hope to or just plain entertain as many of you as possible!

While I originally hail from Minnesota, I now live in New England, a truly wonderful place to be. The rich, historical atmosphere, the interesting people, the lore, the mountains and the ocean, all are a great inspiration for my writing. Ideally I would own a castle on the ocean (I would take Hammond Castle in Gloucester, MA, in a heartbeat) and write while gazing out the window at the crashing waves. Ah, to dream big!

I love to stay busy. I read, write, play around with photography, paint, play basketball, coach basketball, garden, and travel to wonderful and unique places (especially if it involves a cave or a castle). I like humor, pretty much adore anything BBC, period piece, or Gothic, and if I lived another life, would be working in the entertainment industry, either as an actor, singer, or behind the scenes.

If I were to give any advice it would be to live as grand a life as you can. Aim high, but enjoy the here and now. Look for beauty everywhere, even in the darkest of places. It's there. It's in all of us.
