Robin Bell

Robin Bell was born in England in February 1947 and grew up in a small country village near the east coast. After completing his school education he studied engineering in London for five years before switching his career to computer and office systems.

In 1972 Robin emigrated to Australia and started a love affair with that country which continues. During the thirty years he spent in Australia, he visited all States and explored the country from the lush rainforests of the Blue Mountains to the vast deserts of Central Australia. He spent some time living on a remote farmstead in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, using natural resources such as solar and wind power to generate electricity and rainfall as a source of water.

Robin moved to Sweden in 2002, where he started his writing career with his collection of anecdotes of life in his new country - How Swede It Is - and a history of the Australian Outback.

Since then Robin has written a series of My Adventure books for children which allows the child to use his or her imagination to complete the book with their own words and illustrations. He has also completed the first volume in an extensive history of British Rock 'n' Roll music, covering the years 1956 - 1962, and is currently working on the second volume.

Robin now lives in a 100 year-old cottage in the middle of the Swedish forest.
