Cathy Turner Messecar, born in Nashville, Arkansas, has lived in Texas most of her life. Married to David, they will celebrate 50 years of marriage in 2017.
She and her husband reside in Montgomery, Texas, the birthplace of the Texas flag. From their rural farm, Leaning Tree Acres, they own and operate a trucking company, delivering rock and alfalfa. Cathy's and David's family include a son and wife, a daughter and husband, and five grandchildren.
She has taught women's Bible classes for over 25 years. She also speaks at retreats and organizations such as garden clubs, Retired Teachers, MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) and writing guilds.
For eleven years, she wrote an inspirational column for the Friday religion section of The Courier, Conroe, Texas, (Houston Community Newspapers)and has received a Roaring Lambs award from the Amy Foundation for one column. Cathy has received the award of Competent Toastmaster from Toastmasters International (speakers club).
Cathy has authored or co-authored seven books, and her interests are cooking for family and friends, snooping around antique fairs, collecting old linens, serving tea from her teapots and cups, and of course.......writing.
