Lee Schulstad

Lee Schulstad was inspired to write "A Finger in the Water" after viewing Wim Wenders's film "Wings of Desire." In the course of her research for the book, she joined a church Bible study class to learn more about celestial beings, and ended up getting baptized. About this she said, "If you go to church looking for God, you find him."

Lee has a background in legal writing, and "A Finger in the Water" is her first novel. The title is an analogy explained in the closing pages of the book.

"A Finger in the Water" is currently self-published and has been well-received by the Sahahee Book Group, members of the Redmond Police Department, and other discerning readers, and Lee was featured in a lengthy article in the Sammamish Reporter.

Lee lives in Washington State with her husband, a retired USAF colonel who flew B-17s over Europe for 33 months during World War II.
