Christine McMahon

Born and raised in the small community of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, Christine's imagination flourished in the new age of television. As she watched the various action series, she began deriving her own story plots wanting to make the TV characters her own with the motivations and conclusions she dreamt of.

Graduating from school, her life focused on earning a living while the creative writing process languished. After her mother's death, Christine took a bit of time to reflect but instead of looking past, she could only think of this new character who wouldn't let her set him aside. Picking up a pen and notebook, Jamy's story evolved.

Gathering the courage to show some friends the manuscript and receiving their encouragement, she still hesitated.

Her father, Harry, after reading the manuscript for Choices Made: The Street Years said, "I'm an old man. I want to see your book in print. Do something about it." With that impetus, Christine chose to self-publish and through research decided on Trafford Publishing. After much work, the reality of her first book in print happened in March 2005. Of course, her father has copy #1.

Dad also read her manuscript for Choices Made: Father and Sons, the second in the series, which was published in November 2006. Quoting Christine, "Dad got copy #1." Christine is currently editing the third novel in the series, Choices Made: Missouri or Misery that she hopes to publish in 2009.

Christine and her husband, Joe, and their champion Rhodesian Ridgeback, Moy, live in rural Wisconsin.
