For Lisa Kasanicky, spa hopping is not just an adventure, it's a job. Author of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Girlfriend Getaways" (Alpha Books, 2009), Kasanicky is also the creator and chief spa girl of AZSpaGirls.com -- a girlfriend-to-girlfriend guide that speaks to a new generation of spa enthusiasts.

With a writing career that spans more than 20 years, Kasanicky has developed spa and travel guides for the Arizona Office of Tourism and The Arizona Republic and has served as the spa editor for ITEM magazine and as the beauty editor of East West magazine. She's the go-to gal for spas and beauty in greater Phoenix and appears regularly on ABC-15's Sonoran Living among others. For her work as the "Spastress," Kasanicky was named among the coolest people in the Valley of the Sun by Phoenix Magazine in 2008. Her next book may just be about ... hmmm ... spas!
